Starting my professional career in investment banking (IB) with specialization in small-medium enterprises (SME) and tech VC at the age of 17, when I was one of the select few to train as an intern for Scotia McLeod at Scotia Bank, a top 40 bank in the world.
Throughout my university career, I have also interned at NRG Energy (#333 in Fortune 500), where I have achieved top performance honors in a span of 3 months. The diverse and enriched internship experience has led to my eventual managerial role at TD Bank (Top 25 bank in the world, ahead of UBS and Morgan Stanley), where I became the youngest manager (at the time) to engage managerial tasks at TD Bank’s global headquarter.
Upon returning to Asia, I have committed my expertise to further expand my professional repertoire by becoming the first Country Manager for Decathlon in Taiwan. During my tenure I have successfully entailed the operational blueprint for Decathlon’s flagship stores in Taichung and Taipei. I also brought my expertise to Kohler in the role of Project Manager in Northeast Asia (Korea, Macau, HK, and Taiwan), where my team architected the procurement and operational success for major infrastructures in the aforementioned region. In my ensuing role for FedEx, I was in charge of the Business Parks and Science Parks in Taoyuan and the TPE Airport, where I had to manage the logistics process for over USD $200M worth of export/import goods per annum.
As an MBA graduate, and one of the only two consultants accredited by AIGAC (Association of International Graduate Admissions Consultant) in Taiwan, I have taken pride in providing guidance and career planning initiatives for over 2,000 students in admission and job/internship applications in USA, Asia, Canada, and Europe.
By executing exclusive research methodologies, I have successfully applied my industry experience, corporate connections, and client networks to ensure that all of my clients secure success in both school admission and job/internship applications. Even under the impact of COVID-19, I am proud to have secured 100% employment rate (permanent and internship positions) for US-school graduates in 2021. Historically, I have benchmarked an industry-leading 86% employment rate in US-based positions for international students, which far exceeds the results that most school/programs’ career services could ever match.
