Victor|LeetCode & Programming Tutor
About Me

I’m Victor, specializing in C++ and Python as a secondary focus. I had taught more than ten students from high-school level, college student, to working professionals. My class focuses on school course support (data structures, algorithms,) and LeetCode training. However, If you have needs more than these, feel free to contact me for further discussion.
Teaching Method:
- School Courses: Since each school has a different course structure, I help coaching students base on their school slides and course schedule. Critical concepts or points that the student is confused are the two main parts I will focus on explaining. I also draw diagrams to support when necessary, providing examples to support the concepts. For assignments, I encourage students to practice questions first and asking after to speed up the learning process. For the way I teach programming, please see the section below.
- LeetCode question training: The core of algorithm is the way you approach questions but not the actual coding process. When teaching, I start from introducing the concepts before coding to guide students to develop their problem-solving strategy. After moving on to coding, I will help students to convert their strategies into actual pseudo code, so that they can correlate each coding step with their ideas. Once the student gains a better understanding of the pseudo code, they will be able to complete the remaining tasks. A lot of time, students understand the question, but they can’t code to solve the question accordingly. My role is to help clarify the steps where they have issues and explain details. It requires experience to find bugs fast which is also something I can offer.
